To say that "life is what you make it" sounds archaiclly cliche.  The reality is that it is one of the most prolific sayings ever.  Alan King wrote a book and the title became my motto: "If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade".  It is the decision to see the glass half full, even if it's only full of air.

I was wondering if athiest buy life insurance.  I find believing in God the safest life insurance there is.  Maybe the athiest are right and there is no God, we all must wait and see.   BUT... If they are wrong, I'll bet they'll wish they had taken a God policy.

It amuses me to think people place such high regard for what others think.  Who are any of us to judge another?  What is fashionable today is passe tomorrow.  1999 was the year the Irish dances were in; Latin grooves were in; glamour was in; Friends and Steinfeld were in; ect.  How much of what was in in 1997 do you remember?  In is revelent to the time it is accepted.  Eventually everything in goes out, everything has a season.

It was only when the "Ugly Duckling" realized it was a swan that it felt beautiful.  If the ducks make fun of you because you're different, that's their problem.  Don't make it yours.  Ducks are a dime a dozen, a hundred a pound.  A swan is a rare thing of beauty.  A flamingo... that's another story.

The greatest philosophical book of principals I ever read was the Bible.  It has great stuff in it.  For example, "nothing is impossible to them that believe".  What a concept!

ON LOVE

The Bible reads, "charity begins at home and spreads abroad".   This coincides with Shakesphere who wrote, "to thine ownself be true".  You can't possible love your neighbor (or anyone else for the matter) if you don't start at "home" and love yourself.

It is possible to be "madly in love".  That's when you love someone sooooooo much it drives you crazy.  I believe this to be a very dangerous state of mind.  The effects are similar to being lost in the desert -- you start to see mirages.  You mind and body play tricks on you. SCARRY!!!

Amazingly, the human heart can be broken several times and you can survive.  Equally amazing is the fact that it has a mind of its own.  It will cause you to love someone your head tells you is absolutely wrong for you.

Sometimes you're better off kissing frogs.  The prince oftimes turns out to be a snake, lizard, or any other vile animal. For instance my soon to be ex-husband. Whenever he wasn't trying to "put me in my place", he was competing against me. He lost loads of money trying to be more successful than me.  Whatever I had he wanted it. He even wore my panty hose to "be close to me".... (?) He couldn't get it that we were supposed to be a family against the world.
